TEACHER OF PILATES

Monica GERMANI discovered dancing at the age of 8 in Italy with the CECCHETTI method. She studied in Milan and London where she became a professional dancer, after completing her training at the ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCING LONDON, and at the B. ESPINOSA school of dance in London.

Later in London, she graduated as a teacher of "BODY CONTROL" at he Alan Herdman Studio with whom she worked during four years before going to New York in order to pass the "Pilates" technique degree awarded by Mrs Romana Kryzanowska, the agent of the method throughout the world.

In 1979, she worked as a classical dancing teacher. She also danced for the "London Contemporary Company" before creating her own studio in 1987 in Milan. Meanwhile, she launched the Pilates method at the LA SCALA DE MILAN school of dance. In 1989, she started her collaboration with the Opera of Zurich alternately with LA SCALA DE MILAN the theatre and school of dance. A second studio was born in 1994 in collaboration with Maurizio GILARDI at the "HISO CENTRE", a centre of rehabilitation for high level sport and dance.
In 1993, she met Roland PETIT who registered her at the school of dance and at the NATIONAL BALLET OF MARSEILLE as a physical instructor with the Pilates method.
She attended many congresses between Rome, Paris and London using the Pilates method in the following fields: medicine, therapy in dance and at the INSEP.

In 2002, she passed the STATE DEGREE of teacher in classical dance in France.
Now, Monica Germani is considered as one of the main specialists of the Pilates technique in the world, she sometimes works in the art circle, actors, musicians, dancers and also high level sportsmen appealed to her to solve together various physical problems: as well as the harmonization of the body and the spirit.
